2024 Apples
Sadly, 2024 has not been the best year for Vessey Orchards.
Our family suffered the great loss of our beloved Tim Corbin in late April. As many of you know, Tim was an integral part of our farming operation, knowing the ins and outs of the fruit spraying schedule and exactly what it took to cultivate a bountiful harvest. His passing left a large hole in our hearts and on our farm.
In addition to our profound loss, Mother Nature did not help us out much this spring and summer. The hot and dry weather, and then consistent, heavy rain, did not create the best environment for growing the fruit our customers love so much. Unfortunately, all of our orchards are not not equipped with irrigation, and the weather is beyond our control.
A combination of all of the above has forced us to make the very difficult decision not to move forward with cider this year. We just don't have enough apples to make the best quality cider our customers deserve and love. Pick your own apples will also be unavailable this season.
We know that we will get through this difficult time and will be back better than ever next season. We ask for continued prayers and support as we navigate this hard season. Thank you for your continued support, we love that we can be a part of the precious memories you continue to create with your family.

One way to support us is to join our email list. We only send 2 emails a year - at the start of peach season and at the start of apple season.
